How to resize a NEET Photo
- Choose the NEET Photo preset. It is already selected on this page: 350 × 450 px at 300 DPI, with a 10–200 KB working range.
- Upload your photo. Use a recent, front-facing photograph with a plain light background. Keep the full face, both ears and the top of the head inside the frame.
- Download and check the file. The target is 80 KB. Confirm the output size shown by the tool, then upload the downloaded file to the official portal before the form closes.
Official NEET photo rules
- Upload a JPEG between 10 KB and 200 KB.
- Use a passport-style photo measuring 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, exported here as 350 × 450 px.
- Keep the background white and fill about 80% of the frame with the face.
- Print the candidate's name and the date of the photograph at the bottom of the image.
- Do not use a selfie, a filtered photo or a picture with a coloured background.
Why NEET photo files get rejected
- The name or date of the photograph is missing from the bottom.
- The background is blue, grey or patterned instead of white.
- The face is too small or the crop cuts off the top of the head or the chin.
- The photo is a selfie, a screenshot or a filtered image.
- The file is above 200 KB or below 10 KB.
Frequently asked questions
Is the name and date mandatory on the NEET photo?
NEET's photo instructions ask for the candidate's name and the date of the photograph at the bottom of the passport photo. Use the Name & Date toggle in this tool and check the spelling before downloading.
What is the difference between the NEET passport photo and the postcard photo?
The passport photo is the 3.5 × 4.5 cm image uploaded with the online form. The postcard photo is a 4 × 6 inch print that you carry to the exam centre. They are separate uploads with separate pixel boxes.
Can I use the same photo for NEET and JEE Main?
The passport photo box is similar, but NEET additionally asks for the name and date on the image. Keep a clean copy without the text for portals that do not ask for it, and export a separate NEET version with the bottom strip.
