Supports JPG, PNG, and WebP format
JEE Main uses the same NTA photo box as several other entrance exams, but it does not ask for the name and date strip that NEET requires. Keep a clean passport photo ready and export a fresh copy for each application instead of reusing a compressed file.

How to resize a JEE Main Photo
- Choose the JEE Main Photo preset. It is already selected on this page: 350 × 450 px at 200 DPI, with a 10–200 KB working range.
- Upload your photo. Use a recent, front-facing photograph with a plain light background. Keep the full face, both ears and the top of the head inside the frame.
- Download and check the file. The target is 80 KB. Confirm the output size shown by the tool, then upload the downloaded file to the official portal before the form closes.
Official JEE Main photo rules
- Upload a JPEG between 10 KB and 200 KB.
- Use the 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm passport box, exported here as 350 × 450 px.
- Keep the background white and the face centred, filling about 80% of the frame.
- Use a recent colour photo without a cap, mask or dark glasses.
- Do not add a border, watermark or text unless the current NTA notice asks for it.
Why JEE Main photo files get rejected
- The background is coloured, patterned or shadowed.
- The face is too small, tilted or partly covered by hair.
- The photo is a selfie, a screenshot or a heavily filtered image.
- The file is above 200 KB or below 10 KB.
- The image has a border or a scanned-paper edge.
Frequently asked questions
Does JEE Main need the name and date on the photo?
JEE Main's NTA photo instructions do not require the name-and-date strip that NEET asks for. Follow the current information bulletin; if it adds the requirement, use the Name & Date toggle in this tool.
Can I use the same photo for JEE Main and NEET?
The base passport photo can be the same, but NEET needs a version with the name and date at the bottom. Keep both exports separate so you do not upload a text strip to a portal that does not ask for it.
What is the JEE Main signature size?
NTA usually asks for a running-hand signature in a small JPEG box with a 4–30 KB limit. Check the current bulletin for the exact pixels, then use the signature preset that matches the notice.
