Supports JPG, PNG, and WebP format
IBPS and SBI share the same 200 × 230 px photo box in most cycles. The dimensions are small, so start with a sharp source photo; enlarging a tiny WhatsApp image will look soft even when the KB count is correct.

How to resize a IBPS Photo
- Choose the IBPS Photo preset. It is already selected on this page: 200 × 230 px at 200 DPI, with a 20–50 KB working range.
- Upload your photo. Use a recent, front-facing photograph with a plain light background. Keep the full face, both ears and the top of the head inside the frame.
- Download and check the file. The target is 40 KB. Confirm the output size shown by the tool, then upload the downloaded file to the official portal before the form closes.
Official IBPS photo rules
- Upload a JPEG between 20 KB and 50 KB.
- Use the 200 × 230 px box, which corresponds to the 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm photo requirement.
- Keep the background white or light-coloured and free of shadows.
- Fill about 80% of the frame with the face; both ears and the chin should be visible.
- Use a recent colour photo without a cap, mask or dark glasses.
Why IBPS photo files get rejected
- The photo is 51 KB or 19 KB, just outside the file window.
- A landscape or square crop is uploaded instead of the 200 × 230 px box.
- The background is blue, grey or patterned rather than white or light.
- The face is small in the frame or one ear is covered by hair.
- The image is a screenshot or a heavily compressed WhatsApp copy.
Frequently asked questions
What is the IBPS photo size in pixels and KB?
IBPS uses a 200 × 230 px photograph between 20 KB and 50 KB, corresponding to the 3.5 × 4.5 cm print size. This preset applies both values together.
Is the SBI photo the same as the IBPS photo?
SBI PO, Clerk and SO applications have used the same 200 × 230 px and 20–50 KB window. Always check the current SBI notice, because banks can change the upload rules between cycles.
Why does my IBPS photo look blurred after resizing?
The 200 × 230 px box is small. If the source is already a compressed WhatsApp image, resizing cannot recover the missing detail. Start from the original camera file or a fresh studio scan.
