SBI has used the same compact 200 × 230 px photograph box as IBPS in recent cycles. The dimensions are small, so start with the original camera file rather than a WhatsApp copy; enlarging a compressed image cannot bring back the detail the portal expects.

How to resize a SBI Photo

  1. Choose the SBI Photo preset. It is already selected on this page: 200 × 230 px at 200 DPI, with a 20–50 KB working range.
  2. Upload your photo. Use a recent, front-facing photograph with a plain light background. Keep the full face, both ears and the top of the head inside the frame.
  3. Download and check the file. The target is 40 KB. Confirm the output size shown by the tool, then upload the downloaded file to the official portal before the form closes.

Official SBI photo rules

  • Upload a JPEG between 20 KB and 50 KB.
  • Use the 200 × 230 px box, which matches the 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm print size in the SBI photo instructions.
  • Keep the background white or light and free of shadows.
  • Fill roughly 80% of the frame with the face and keep both ears visible.
  • Use a recent colour photo without a cap, mask or dark glasses.

Why SBI photo files get rejected

  • The file is 51 KB or 19 KB, just outside the 20–50 KB window.
  • A square or landscape crop is uploaded instead of the 200 × 230 px portrait box.
  • The background is coloured, patterned or shadowed.
  • The face is too small in the frame or one ear is covered.
  • The image is a screenshot, a selfie crop or a heavily compressed chat attachment.

Frequently asked questions

Is the SBI photo size the same as IBPS?

Recent SBI PO, Clerk and SO notices have used the same 200 × 230 px and 20–50 KB window as IBPS. Check the current SBI advertisement before uploading, because banks can change the box between cycles.

Can I use the same photo for SBI and IBPS?

If both notices ask for 200 × 230 px and 20–50 KB, the same prepared file can be used. Keep the original high-resolution source so you can export a fresh copy for each portal.

Why is my SBI photo blurry after resizing?

The 200 × 230 px box is smaller than a phone photo, so the tool has to discard pixels. Starting from a sharp, well-lit original gives the portal a clean face; starting from an already compressed image gives a soft result at any file size.
