IBPS is one of the few recruiters that explicitly warns against blue ink for signatures. A black gel or ballpoint pen on unruled white paper gives the cleanest result after the scan is compressed.

How to resize a IBPS Signature

  1. Choose the IBPS Signature preset. It is already selected on this page: 140 × 60 px at 200 DPI, with a 10–20 KB working range.
  2. Upload your signature. Sign in running hand with a dark blue or black pen on plain white paper. Crop close to the strokes but leave a small white margin.
  3. Download and check the file. The target is 15 KB. Confirm the output size shown by the tool, then upload the downloaded file to the official portal before the form closes.

Official IBPS signature rules

  • Upload a JPEG signature between 10 KB and 20 KB.
  • Use the 140 × 60 px box, which matches the 4.0 cm × 2.0 cm requirement.
  • Sign with black ink on plain white paper.
  • Use running handwriting. Capital or block-letter signatures are rejected.
  • Keep the strokes inside the box with a small white margin around them.

Why IBPS signature files get rejected

  • The signature is written in blue ink.
  • The letters are printed or block-style instead of running hand.
  • The file is 21 KB or 9 KB, outside the 10–20 KB range.
  • The scan includes a shadow, a ruled line or a coloured background.
  • The crop cuts off the tail of the signature.

Frequently asked questions

Does IBPS require a black-ink signature?

IBPS guidance asks for a black-ink signature on white paper. Blue ink is a common cause of rejection, so use a black ballpoint or gel pen even if your normal signature is blue.

What is the IBPS signature size?

The signature box is 140 × 60 px, and the JPEG must be between 10 KB and 20 KB. This preset targets 15 KB to leave room at both ends of the range.

Why is my IBPS signature blurry at 10–20 KB?

Thin strokes and a low-resolution phone photo compress badly. Sign with a slightly thicker pen, crop tightly to the strokes, and scan in good light so the tool does not have to trade away detail to reach the KB limit.
